Sunset at Florida's Forgotten Coast, on a sandy island. The last rays of the sun gave this very special warm and golden light. Five minutes later the beautiful colors of this days sunset were gone.
The Green Sea
Weather was shaky, rays of sunlight driven away by stormy rain clouds. A play on the big stage, at the warm Florida coast.
An overwhelming composition of green, gold and blue. Bathed in warm, sweet air, filled with the last rays of sunlight. Is there a better place?
Crystal clear water, trees overgrown with moss, a symphony of of green and blue. A paradise for the fish, birds and manatees that live here, and place of tranquility and eternal beauty.
Five days of rain, mist and grey skies in an autumnal Swiss Saxony. A photographic nightmare. And then, one afternoon, the sun comes out, into a brief misty sunset. Now time is of essence.
This place is breathtaking - water everywhere, in a lush abundance, with thunder falling into the depth, raising again as water spray. Golden light plays at the edge, and time flows.
Rio de Janeiro
View from the feet of Cristo Redentor, over the bay to Sugar Loaf Mountain. A panorama that never stops to reveal more details.
View over the bay, a sea of golden yellow, shortly before sunset. We have been warned, being out on the streets after dark in Salvador, Brazil.
Sea of Yellow
Just a field full of yellow canola flowers, soon to be scythed and fed to farm animals. But in this moment, in their bloom, they are beautiful.
An early, cold morning, the city still fast asleep, the gondolas still moored from last night. These are the precious, tranquil moments, alone with the city and the cold light.
Early light, hours before the procession of delivery boats, vaporetti and gondolas on the Canale Grande. A surrealistic scenery, directly fallen out of a dream.
The ripe grapes of autumn, waiting to be picked, sweet, soft and full of sun. Shot at castle Villandry, France.
The blue hour in the city that never sleeps. Not far away and so near, away from the hustle and bustle of it's busy streets. This is the place...
The desert, the void, the nothing. Destruction of everything living, and yet full of beauty and color, just stones and sand and the sky.
Cold City Morning
An early, cold February morning in New York. In for a day full of meetings, but not willing to trade the sunrise for an hour more sleep...
Flow of Light
Underground, in the canyon washed out by millions of years. The sunlight paints patterns on the walls, and the rest of the world seems very far away.
Acid smoke hissing out of fumaroles, bubbling hot springs and mud pots issuing sulfuric gases, trees that have died because the surface temperature has risen up to 100°C.
Sunrise in Arches National Park
Hard to believe that this all was created only by geological activities. And also hard to believe that here, in this dry and hot desert, water should have been the crucial element that created these forms.
